Compressive shirt

Compressive shirt

This piece started with a basic long-sleeve shirt pattern, the kind of everyday silhouette we all know. From there, I started sketching out how I wanted the panels to move across the body — not just functional seams, but shapes that could guide the eye and enhance movement.

Once the design was mapped out, I deconstructed the entire pattern, breaking it into new pieces that flowed with the body’s natural lines. Using a rib-knitted fabric gave the shirt its compressive and flexible nature — it holds shape but still adapts perfectly to movement.

I decided to mix black and a desaturated blue, cutting and joining the panels so they formed subtle contrasts. The color blocking and panel flow give it a sporty, almost superhero-like feel, without losing the minimal edge I always aim for.

The result is a shirt that feels technical yet understated — fitted, comfortable, and visually dynamic. It’s a reinterpretation of something simple, turned into something more sculpted and alive through fabric, fit, and construction.

All pieces are made on demand. We’re open to working together on custom designs and personal projects.
